The Upper Room. It is the community gathering space where Bible studies, board meetings, songwriting retreats, worship nights, family reunions, baby showers, recitals, classes, work-study, and creative collaboration all take place.
Books have been written, songs have been born, albums have been launched and artists have debuted here. From 50th anniversary reunions honoring faithful marriages to baby showers welcoming new life or the many evenings that have poured the sounds of prayer and worship over the good folk of La Porte, this space has celebrated life.
The Upper Room exists because of the generosity of The Emerging Sound 501(c)(3). Through the faithful support of its donors, The Emerging Sound 501(c)(3) preserves and provides this remarkable gathering space as part of its charitable mission to invest in people, projects, and places that advance the Kingdom of God.
Here, education, creativity, discipleship, hospitality, and community life flourish every day, underscored by music that has traveled the world.

A Whole World of Good serves as the marketplace ministry and daily gathering place within the GoodFolk family of brands. Together, these organizations exist to cultivate happier, healthier, and more whole people while strengthening families, neighborhoods, churches, and communities. While each organization has its own unique purpose, they share a common commitment to beauty, excellence, hospitality, stewardship, generosity, historic preservation, lifelong learning, and serving others with integrity.
